Avis-Budget Group (ABG) is a leading global car rental company and has been awarded a “Best Car Rental Company in Europe” for a consecutive decade. The increasing price pressure on rental involves the need to continuously seek opportunities to reduce purchasing costs of goods and services. Furthermore, as part of the reorganization plan that followed the merger with Maggiore in Italy, Avis Budget turned to Expense Reduction Analysts to rapidly increase its ability to manage complex procurement and purchase process integration projects. “After a joint analysis of the scope of intervention – says Mr. Leonetti – we decided to start a first phase analysis of the purchases of Fuel, Travel and Transfers, Postage and Cleaning. We provided to ERA the accounting information and expected the first results. In extremely short time we have been able to see how, from such detailed analyses, we could potentially achieve very incredible results, giving ERA a mandate to continue the work”.
